About the technology
What is license plate recognition?
License plate recognition (LPR) — also known as ALPR (automatic license plate recognition) or ANPR (automatic number plate recognition) — uses computer vision and OCR to detect a vehicle’s plate in an image or video and convert it into machine-readable text.
This demo runs Tizora’s open-source license plate recognition API. It returns each plate’s text, a confidence score and an annotated image, the same output you would integrate into a parking, tolling or access-control system.
